LV Arrester

low voltage power lines or junction boxes with voltages up to 1 kV

Low voltage metal oxide surge arresters with a silicone housing NNO and MOSPO are designed for installation in low voltage power lines or junction boxes with voltages up to 1 kV.They serve as the initial level of protection against surges and other transients. The varistors of low voltage surge arresters NNO and MOSIPO are directly molded by silicone rubber, providing them with a high level of ingress protection rated at IP 67.

Photo Electric Control Unit (PECU) is an electronic switch which is triggered at a specific light level. Based on thermal, electronic or microprocessor technology, photocells operate in a number of ways depending of the level of accuracy required.Dusk to dawn sensing – generally inaccurate light detection where the lamp switches ‘ON’ as night falls and switches ‘OFF’ shortly after sunrise.Light level detection – more accurate light detection where the photocell switches at pre-set light levels both at sunset and sunrise, typically 70/35, 55/28, 35/18 or 20/20 lux. Negative switching sets the lamp to ‘OFF’ at a lower level than ‘ON’, with positive switching acting in reverse.

Hubbell offers both IEEE and IEC compliant distribution arrester products. The application may dictate the use of a different design to handle excessive lightning duty, high TOV or offer superior equipment protection.Distribution  arresters are commonly applied on system voltages from 3 – 46 kV. Use this guide to help select the correct arrester classification for your specific application. Other designs are available for unique applications.
